We love to be creative with our kids and this is a fun way to do it. We all have mounds of used, broken crayons laying around the house! These silicone LEGO molds allow you to turn them into fun crayons that your kiddos will LOVE! The best part is, they are SIMPLE to make! Want to learn how? Keep reading!
This is a great project to have little ones help with! They can help you take all the paper off the crayons while you chop them into small bits. Now, if you want single color crayons, keep them divided. You can also create multi-color crayons, which look super cool and are fun to color with! All you need to do is mix it up!
Fill the molds with the crayon bits. After I pop them in the oven, I add more into the molds if needed. Place the mold on a baking tray and place into a pre heated oven. I heated my oven to 220 C. It took about 5 minutes to completely melt the crayons.
You are almost done! Once fully melted, take out of the oven and let them sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes. Then place in the fridge or freezer till hard. Now, enjoy them and color! These can be made with any silicone molds! We typically make them for holiday treats to send to school that are holiday relevant.
