|You don't have to be perfect to be an awesome parent.|
Teaching kiddos to count can be frustrating, for kids and adults. Making it fun can keep it lighthearted and have the little ones engaged. This is a simple activity that takes no time to put together and most items can be found right in your cupboard!
First, gather everything you need. Cupcake liners, a sharpie or marker, cotton balls small enough to fit in the liners, and sticks for the kiddo to pick up the balls with. We happen to have kid's chopsticks that work perfectly.
Next, number the liners from one to whatever number your child is counting to. We are working to ten.
Finally, have the child count and place the cotton craft balls into the cups. This is also a perfect activity for teaching addition and subtraction.
