I absolutely love finding unique, handmade items and being able to share them with my readers. There is just something wonderful about the love and patience that goes into these products. The creative process just astounds me.
My latest find is a beautiful Etsy shop called My Place in the World. This shop allows you to tell your life story on a map of your choosing. I adore this concept. It is so simple, but so sweet!
You mark your place in the world: your birthplace, where you met your love, a wedding, anniversary, a home, adoption, birth, meeting, or a family story. It all comes together on your map. Your piece will be custom made and personalized just for you or as a gift, in the color of your choice with the words that tell your personal story. A heart is placed exactly where your story took place, so you can look and remember. Maps are available for every state in the USA, province in Canada, all country in the world and major cities.
Our family chose a map of the USA, like the one pictured below. Our heart is placed at Pittsburgh, PA, where we all became a family. Along the bottom, all of our names appear, with the words, "And they lived happily ever after..." This is our story. So, no matter where we may go, this is where it began. I love this concept.
My Place In the World has a ton of designs and colors to choose from. Go here to check out the Etsy shop and pick up your place in the world, or get one for a loved one for the holidays! This would make such an amazing Christmas gift!
I am giving one lucky reader the chance to win a print from My Place in the World! Go to my Giveaway page to enter!
