I don’t know about you, but when it’s my children’s birthdays I like to spoil them with a fantastic party. While it gets easier to arrange the perfect do for your kids as they get old, when they’re a little younger, it can be hard to plan them a party.
As a mom, I know all too well the struggle of planning a fantastic birthday party. Especially when it’s for a younger child who changes their mind about the things they like from one day to the next. Being the mom of three kids, I have managed to master a few party themes that almost any younger child will love.
In case you are struggling to come up with a theme for your child's birthday, I thought I would share a few ideas with you.
Teddy bear’s picnic
For kids between the ages of two and five, a teddy bear’s picnic is the perfect party idea. Invite along a handful of their friends, as well as their favorite furry friend, and meet for a picnic at your local park. Or, if you have a large enough garden, you could always hold the picnic there, instead.
All you need to make this type of party a success is an old-fashioned checked blanket, a picnic basket, and some teddy bear themed plates and cups. (You can pick up some fantastic designs online on sites like eBay.) For the food, opt for traditional picnic foods. Things like finger sandwiches, crisps, cupcakes, and fresh fruit, are all ideal party foods.

Safari party
If your little one is crazy about animals and adventures, how about organizing a safari-themed party? For children between the ages of five and eight, a safari party is perfect. Invite the children to come dressed up as animals, and arrange lots of fun animal-themed party games, like sleeping lions.
Invite each child to dress up as an animal and spend an afternoon monkeying around. For all the best kids costumes, including lions, tigers, and monkeys, have a browse online. (If you find a good site, don’t forget to share it with the parents of your guests.)

Traditional garden party

If you have a lovely big garden and your child’s birthday falls during the summer months, a garden party could be the ideal way to celebrate. For little ones, between the ages of two and six, a garden party is perfect because it’s fun and relaxed.
The great thing about holding a birthday bash in your garden for your child is that you don’t necessarily have to organize games. Instead, the kids can run around and play freely with their friends. To make the celebration a little more fun, perhaps you could hire a bouncy castle and an entertainer? For the food, a mini buffet or hot food could work well. How about serving hot dogs in buns or homemade burger and chips?
There are plenty of ways you can make your little one’s birthday special; these are just a few ideas to get you started. Hopefully, these tips will allow you to throw your child the most amazing birthday party.
