As the child of a nurse, I know the hours my mom would put in to care for others and the come home to care for her own family. Even as we all got older, and had our own families, my mom was there. The day I had my children, my mom was my favorite nurse.
The day you give birth to your first child is a day you never forget. The nurse who helps you take those scary first steps into motherhood, you will remember forever. For me, that nurse was my mom. She was beside me every step of the way. Even now, she is the nurse I call anytime I have a question, and I trust her answers.
Pampers want to thank nurses who work tirelessly and make an impact on our lives. The Thank You Nurses award program honors nurses across three categories: Labor &
Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Postpartum. Pampers is inviting parents to share their stories of how nurses helped make life better by submitting a nurse nomination. Do you know a nurse? You can tell your story here! Nominations will be accepted from November 9 through December 14.
There will be three finalists, one from each category. announced in March and the
grand prize honoree will be announced in May. The three finalists will be honored with short documentary videos showcasing their unique and inspirational nursing stories. Each of the three finalists will receive a one-year membership to the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), attendance at the 2016 AWHONN Convention, Procter & Gamble care packages, and more. In honor of these nurse winners, three Pampers Swaddlers scholarships will be made available to help nurses from underrepresented groups complete their studies toward a Master of Science in Nursing degree. This is an incredible opportunity to thank someone who has greatly impacted you and your child's life.

I could not have gotten through my labor if it wasn't for my nurse. She was amazing. Held me through the epidural needle (it's HUGE D:), helped me walk around while I was contracting, got me to 8cm before I couldn't take it anymore and asked for the drugs. She rocked

I had a nurse named Lisa when my son was born. She was so patient, answered all my questions, and was so caring. She even stayed past her shift to continue to help deliver my son.

When I had our first child, the nurse that I had was amazing. Being new parents, my husband and I were insecure with handling and taking care of our son and my nurse took the time to show us how to care for him.

I would thank Karen, who was my nurse when I had surgery in 1st grade. She gave me stickers everytime I got out of my hospital bed and walked down the hallway. I created a sticker book out of all my stickers she gave me!
